Panama City & St. Andrews
The bay side of the coast: two walkable historic districts full of local shops, oyster bars, murals and marina views.
Old Florida on St. Andrew Bay
Across the bay from the beach, Panama City trades high-rises for oak trees, bungalows and waterfront restaurants. Historic St. Andrews is a laid-back bayfront neighborhood of boutiques and seafood spots. Downtown Panama City, centered on Harrison Avenue, has an art deco theater, a mural trail and a lively food and brewery scene.
It’s an easy half-day from Panama City Beach, and a great base for anyone who wants local flavor with the beach a short drive away.
