Mexico Beach

A small beach town with a big heart. Uncrowded sand, clear water and the kind of community that keeps visitors coming back year after year.

The vibe

Slow down, you’re in Mexico Beach

Mexico Beach sits on U.S. 98 between Panama City and Port St. Joe. It’s a place of beach cottages, mostly local businesses and very little hurry. Hurricane Michael made landfall here in October 2018, and the town has been rebuilding ever since. Today it’s a fresh, close-knit spot for a quiet beach week.

Days are simple: swim, fish, beachcomb and watch the sun go down. For a busier day, Panama City and Port St. Joe are both a short drive away.

Best for
Quiet beach weeks, families with young kids, anglers and visitors who return every year
Don’t miss
Fishing or diving the area’s artificial reefs
Nearby
Port St. Joe to the east, Panama City to the west
